Earth Camp 2014 Days 9 & 10 - Saguaro Harvest

On Thursday, we went to the dump. They told us 90% of the stuff there should not be there and 50% of that should be at the recycle center.

Next, we went to the recycle center and they told us 10% percent of the stuff they get should not be there. It is sad how this works.

Afterwards we drove to the Desert Museum, cooked dinner and headed out to the Desert Museum's Saguaro Harvest site. We split up in to groups and went out to harvest saguaro fruit. It is soooo yummy.

When we finished we cleaned the fruit and started boiling it over a fire to make syrup.

We went to bed and when we woke up we drove back to the Desert Museum and put the syrup on ice cream. It was probably the most delicious bowl of ice cream I have ever had.

We then made a power point slide to show to our parents. This was the best camp I have ever been to!!!!!!!!
