For Labor Day, we went up Hunts Mesa in Monument Valley.

The road there is difficult and required a non-top heavy four-wheel drive truck or a top heavy four-wheel drive and a lot of road building.

When we arrived at our campsite, it was one of the most beautiful campsites I have ever camped at.

We set up and got something to drink, a chair and a phone or a camera and watched the sunset. Then everyone made dinner and we ate around the campfire.

We ate breakfast and went to do some exploring.

We found some different views of Monument Valley.

We went on a hike and when we stopped my mom and I found a nice seat in the shade while we enjoyed the view.

Next, we headed back to the campsite for lunch and hung out for the rest of the day. We had a potluck that night with homemade carne asada and tortillas. Now that’s what I call yummy. :)

The next day we packed up and left. It was funny because there was this sand dune that the Dormobile got up with no trouble and the newest car could not get up it.

We found some ruins.

There was also this really big sand dune that we got to drive down. It almost felt like I was standing up it was so steep.

We also saw a sand spring, which was a spring in the side of a rock wall!

I had a great time and it was very pretty.
