This Thanksgiving, we decided to go to Bahia de Kino, Mexico. I had never been to Mexico before.

After entering Mexico at Nogalas, we had to drive on this fenced road to get to the immigration station. There was a lot of construction going on and some horses got caught up in it. They had to cut a hole in the fence bigger to let them through.

This our camp right on the beach with me chillin' watching the sea. We stayed at Islandia Campground in Old Kino.

And the view of Pelican Island and many shrimping boats was spetacular.

For Thanksgiving dinner, we ditched turkey and had shrimp and beef kabobs. We bought the shrimp (1kilogram) off the docks for 200 pesos (15 US dollars), but later I scored the deal of the weekend getting 1 kilogram(2.2lbs) of shrimp and 1 kilogram(2.2lbs) of flounder for 220 pesos (16 US dollars)

One day we went exploring and found this golf course. We thought it would be a good way to get my grandpa, who loves golf, down into Mexico, except there was a slight problem. It was dirt except for the green and the tee, and those were astroturf.

This is an osprey nest we saw at the top of a telephone pole. Osprey's have antiglare vison and tiny hooks on their talons for catching slippery fish. For more on Osperys, click here. I had never seen an ospery before, so cool!

My dad and I went kayaing to Pelican Island in a kayak we borrowed from one of our neighbors. The complete video is here.

We had a great trip and I hope to have many more great adventures in Mexico and Latin America.
